🫎❤️ International Day of Charity — Give a Voice to Maine’s Moose ❤️🫎

Today is a day to support the causes we believe in. For us, that means standing up for Maine’s moose.

Maine’s moose are an important part of our woods, our heritage, and what makes the state of Maine so special. But their future needs people willing to speak up, get involved, and make a difference.

That’s why the Maine Moose Coalition was created.

🫎 Now, we need 𝗬𝗢𝗨.

When you join the Maine Moose Coalition, you’re not just becoming a member — you’re adding your voice to a growing movement dedicated to the long-term health and future of Maine’s moose.

🌲 More members. More voices. More impact. 🌲

Become a member and help us Preserve today. Protect tomorrow.

Don’t just love Maine’s moose. Stand up for them. 🫎❤️

As autumn approaches, bull moose begin to shed the velvet covering their antlers. 🫎

The velvet supplies blood and nutrients while the antlers grow.

Once the antlers are fully grown, the velvet dries up and the bull rubs his antlers against trees and brush to remove it. What’s left is the hard antler underneath—just in time for the rut. 🍂🫎

September 1st marks the beginning of a new season here in the North Maine Woods. 🍁

The days are getting a little shorter, the mornings a little cooler, and the first hints of fall are beginning to show.

The landscape is just starting to trade its summer greens for touches of gold and red. 🍂🌾
Before long, the landscape will be painted in the brilliant colors of autumn.

It’s a beautiful reminder that change is coming—and there’s still so much to enjoy along the way.

Welcome, September. We’re ready for you! 🍁

🫎 Have You Ever Seen a Piebald Moose?

Every once in a while, you come across a moose that is truly unforgettable.

A piebald moose has an unusual pattern of white and brown hair caused by a genetic condition that affects pigmentation. These moose are extremely rare, making a sighting in the wild a pretty special experience.

This particular bull is one we’ll never forget. We were fortunate enough to see him only twice a few years ago, and both encounters were something special. Seeing a bull like this in the Maine woods is a reminder that you never really know what you might find around the next bend.

Have you ever been lucky enough to see a piebald moose? 🫎🤍

🐾 H𝐚ppy N𝐚tion𝐚l Dog D𝐚y! 🐾

Today we’re giving a little extra love to two of our favorite four-legged adventure companions, Tine & Cedar. ❤️

Over the years, Tine and Cedar have been by our side for countless outdoor adventures, quiet moments, and memories we’ll always cherish. They may not join us on every 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠’𝐬 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 adventure, but they’re a special part of our family and our story.

Dogs have a way of making the good days better, the tough days easier, and every adventure a little more memorable. 🐕❤️

Today, we want to celebrate your pup, too!
Drop a photo of your four-legged best friend in the comments and tell us their name. Let’s fill the comments with some of the pups who make life and adventures even better! 🐾
