There are some places that make you stop and think, “I can’t believe I’m actually here.” Cabra Castle was one of those places.

Spending the night in a real Irish castle was so much more than just a hotel stay. From the beautiful grounds to the incredible history, it was one of those experiences that reminds me why I love to travel.

I will always love spending time in Ireland and staying in this hotel capped off a fantastic trip. 🇮🇪🏰❤️

One of my favorite stops in Ireland was watching the sheepdog demonstration at Caherconnell Fort. It’s amazing to see the partnership between the shepherd and these incredibly intelligent Border Collies. With just a few whistles and voice commands, they effortlessly rounded up the sheep across the hillside. You can tell these dogs absolutely love what they do!

Experiences like this give you a real appreciation for Ireland’s farming heritage and the traditions that are still very much alive today. Definitely a stop I’d recommend if you’re visiting the Burren.

Today we visited Galway. This was my second time here and I liked it just as much as when I was here the first time. I can definitely see why so many people love this city. It has such a fun atmosphere with colorful streets, live music around every corner, and so much character.

Of course, I had to stop and sit with the Galway Girl! If you are a fan of the song or not, it’s a fun photo opportunity.

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from the medieval banquet at Knappogue Castle, but it ended up being such a fun night! The castle was beautiful, and walking in with a glass of mead really set the mood of the night.

The entertainment was the highlight for me. The singers, musicians, and storytellers were very talented, in particular the Irish dancer. The dinner was good too, but it was really the atmosphere that made the evening special. ☘️🇮🇪
