💳 You don’t need thousands of dollars to fly comfortably in business class - you just need the right credit card points strategy.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 When my daughter told me that she wanted to go to Europe for her graduation trip, I immediately started comparing flights, fares, and companies.

✈️ I ultimately decided that British Airways was going to be the best option for where we wanted to go. That meant I needed Avios reward points. That meant Amex was going to be my best option for collecting those transfer partner rewards.

💵 I opened the AmEx Gold card to collect 100,000 membership reward points. I utilized the multipliers while I met the minimum spend and was at the points I needed before I knew it.

✈️ When I was ready to purchase the flights, I transferred those points to British Airways reward program as Avios points and purchased the flights.

💰 I did have to pay taxes and fees but cash value was around $6,000 so still a huge win!

Lynchburg, Virginia recap 🎥
We packed a lot into a few days—adventure, good food, and plenty of fun in between.

🏨 We stayed at Home2 Suites by Hilton (Lynchburg) = 150,000 Hilton Honors points (I used 75K AmEx points and transferred) for 4 nights

Honestly, I won’t stay there again. I think Hyatt has spoiled me. It’s a new property so I had high hopes. The service was really the big issue for me. Our room was only cleaned one night (the night before we left, which felt odd). The breakfast was underwhelming. The room was made to hold six people, but only had enough pillows and blankets for four. When I requested replacement towel sets or additional blankets and pillows, I was given a hard time. The pullout couch was absolutely uncomfortable, despite our best efforts to pad the mattress. The living space had plenty of storage, but the bathroom was seriously lacking. If I was in desperate need, I may stay here again, but definitely not at the top of my list.
