We love hearing what guests notice when they arrive at Altamont Rest and seeing the beauty they capture! Especially when it’s the little things we hoped they’d feel from the moment they walked through the door. Hear what they have to say:

“Much more beautiful and pristine than in the photos, simply an incredible place. The beautiful view and the tranquility are a dream. It is very well-equipped with everything you might need, and there are lovely touches for guests. The host was very attentive to ensuring everything was perfect-a place to spend a few peaceful days surrounded by nature.”

Some of the best parts of a getaway happen in the kitchen 🍝

Coffee that turns into a late breakfast. Dinner that takes a little longer than planned. Conversations that keep going long after the dishes are done.

We made plenty of room for all of it at Altamont Rest!

We had a little visitor stop by for the Fourth of July! 🐻🇺🇸

One of our wild neighbors decided to make a quick appearance at Altamont Rest today. Thankfully, he kept right on moving!

How much coffee is too much coffee?

We’re still trying to figure that out. ☕😅

Good thing the coffee bar at Altamont Rest is ready for whatever kind of morning you’re having!

“Perfect private mountain getaway.”

Those four words pretty much sum up what we’re hoping guests experience when they stay at Altamont Rest.

Have you visited Paris Mountain before?

The mountain views usually steal the spotlight, but some of our favorite details are much smaller.

Scattered throughout Altamont Rest are tiny animal friends hiding in unexpected places. This little rabbit is just one of them.

If you stay with us, let us know how many you can find!🐰

Altamont Rest takes its name from the historic Altamont Hotel built in 1889, once an iconic retreat just across the street. Though the original hotel is long gone, we’re continuing the tradition of offering a restful escape, with modern comfort where history once thrived.
