Delayed post - Happy Mother’s Day ❤️

Having the rare opportunity to spend a weekend morning with both my family and Marina’s family during peak season was truly a blessing. For the first time ever, I was able to get both families together on the boat to celebrate Mother’s Day.

The conditions couldn’t have been much better, light fog, calm seas, no wind, and an early departure to get ahead of the boat traffic. The first spot didn’t produce, but the next two were as good as it gets. The striped bass were feeding hard, and everyone in Marina’s family landed their first striped bass, and then some! We quickly filled the boat limit and were back at the dock by 10 AM.

As incredible as the fishing was, the catches aren’t what I’ll remember most. What will stay with me are the moments in between, the conversations, the laughter, and having everyone together celebrating the amazing mothers in our lives.

Days like this are a reminder that fishing is about so much more than fish. It’s about the people you share it with.

05-05-26 🇲🇽 Exitoso cinco de mayo con uno de mis grupos favoritos. La pesca en empezó rápida con tres en la premiará pasada y después se puso difícil buscando en muchas áreas diferentes con pocas marcas en cada lugar. 05/02/26 PM Charter- I’ve always been intrigued by afternoons this time of year. An all-out morning feed, fish stacked in every spot… then silence by mid-afternoon.

Stuck with the plan I put together a few days ago, knowing this was a possibility after a bite like we had this morning, and it paid off. We made every opportunity count.

04/18/26 Incredible morning on the water with my favorite people. These are the trips that mean the most. Watching my family who supported me from day one, out there with me, rods bent, smiles all around… it doesn’t get better than that.

We had an early departure knowing it was a Saturday with boat pressure and an east wind sliding in later. Aside from the dense fog, everything lined up perfectly. No wind, easy limit, a ton of laughs, and back at the dock by 8 AM.

Our first week of the season has been nothing short of excellent. Water temps held around 48–50 degrees, and things are only getting started.

I’ve got solid availability over the next two weeks, after that, May through June is almost completely booked.

If you’ve been thinking about getting out there for striped bass, now’s the time.

Incredible day on the water. The first two hours were as good as it gets. The new moon did its job!
Water temps went up slightly, holding at 48–51 degrees

04/15/26 An amazing opening day with Jeff and Mario. After one of the coldest winters we’ve had, I wasn’t sure how things would shape up for the start of the season. After spending the first few hours searching, I got some intel from Captain Nick on the Reel Mayhem and made the move.

Within minutes, we were tight on our first double of the season. We had an easy limit, enjoyed some catch and release, and then got out of the way so a few other boats could get their fill.

Water temps averaged 46–48 degrees in most areas, but once we found that 51–55 degree water, the bait and bass were there waiting for us.

If your boat isn’t in the water yet, don’t panic. It’s only just begun, and there was still plenty of dead water around. None of our fish had sea lice on them, either.

A great way to start the season on a high note.

Epic moment on the water! Mike landed his personal-best blackfish and just edged out Marina to take the pool. Both fish came in just shy of 7 pounds and were caught back-to-back, pure chaos in the best way. We worked hard for every bite that day, but late in the trip we finally cracked the code, finding a sweet little rock pile that produced most of our keepers and helped us fill the limit. Absolute grind turned into a huge payoff!
