The fight isn’t over yet… Did Marina land the King?

This is exactly why, as August rolls around, I start getting the salmon itch.

The anticipation. The screaming drag. The blistering runs. The heart-pounding moments you’ll remember for the rest of your life.

There’s nothing else quite like King Salmon season on the Salmon River.

My remaining availability for the 2026 season:

🎣 October 7–9
🎣 October 9–11

All dates are available as package trips.

If you’ve always wanted to experience salmon fishing but don’t have enough people to fill a trip, reach out. There’s a good chance I’ll be putting together shared trips for September 27–29 and/or October 7–9, making it a great opportunity for solo anglers or smaller groups.

Fall is right around the corner, and these dates won’t last long.

Larry’s Fishing Charter Policies

To make booking even easier, I’ve put together a quick overview of my charter policies. While these policies have always been in place and are listed on my website, I wanted to share them here as well so everyone has easy access before booking a trip.

My goal is to be as transparent as possible and avoid any surprises regarding deposits, cancellations, weather, safety, and other trip details.

The SORD 6” Flexy Fillet Knife officially passed the test. I’ve filleted well over 100 striped bass with it and haven’t had to sharpen it once. It took me a little while to get used to it, but once I did, it was game on. Huge thank you to SORD and Matt for capturing such an awesome video

Delayed post - Happy Mother’s Day ❤️

Having the rare opportunity to spend a weekend morning with both my family and Marina’s family during peak season was truly a blessing. For the first time ever, I was able to get both families together on the boat to celebrate Mother’s Day.

The conditions couldn’t have been much better, light fog, calm seas, no wind, and an early departure to get ahead of the boat traffic. The first spot didn’t produce, but the next two were as good as it gets. The striped bass were feeding hard, and everyone in Marina’s family landed their first striped bass, and then some! We quickly filled the boat limit and were back at the dock by 10 AM.

As incredible as the fishing was, the catches aren’t what I’ll remember most. What will stay with me are the moments in between, the conversations, the laughter, and having everyone together celebrating the amazing mothers in our lives.

Days like this are a reminder that fishing is about so much more than fish. It’s about the people you share it with.

05-05-26 🇲🇽 Exitoso cinco de mayo con uno de mis grupos favoritos. La pesca en empezó rápida con tres en la premiará pasada y después se puso difícil buscando en muchas áreas diferentes con pocas marcas en cada lugar. Sin embargo fue día excelente con buen clima, un ceviche delicioso, y grupo chévere. Gracias Juan por reservar este viaje! Nos vemos a finales de Mayo

05/02/26 PM Charter- I’ve always been intrigued by afternoons this time of year. An all-out morning feed, fish stacked in every spot… then silence by mid-afternoon.

Stuck with the plan I put together a few days ago, knowing this was a possibility after a bite like we had this morning, and it paid off. We made every opportunity count.

Excellent afternoon with Jairo and his crew. Appreciate you guys coming out with us! Back at it in the morning 🌅
