We get alot of hikers staying with us in Greenwood Lake. The Appalachian Trail is on the mountain that creates the eastern border of Greenwood Lake and there is a trail from the AT directing into the center of town. Warwick, NY named as one of the best trail towns is about a 15 minute drive from GWL

Long-distance hiking is tough. These mountain towns reward your efforts with splurge-worthy food and amenities.

A heads up to our guests...Mt Peter has closed for the season. We had quite a few guests this year take advantage of this great little ski resort at the top of our mountain. We're very excited that beach season is right around the corner. Hiking is perfect right now with trails clear of snow. Come spend a few days with us.

For ease of travel when visiting Greenwood Lake, we have a new taxi service. Note that we dont have regular taxi service, Uber,, or Lyft available in the area so private services like this fill the void. And the NYNJ Transit bus serves many locations in the area.
