Greenwood County is located in the Piedmont Region of South Carolina and serves as a hub for a seven county region including Abbeville, Edgefield, Laurens, McCormick, Newberry, and Saluda counties, all of which feature numerous lakes, attractions, and state recreation areas for regional visitors to experience and explore. Greenwood’s own Lake Greenwood is just a few miles from the city limits of Greenwood and has recently become a desirable place to live, work, and play. Make sure the 25 Drive In Auto Theatre is on your list of must do things the next time you visit!

This Friday, September 18th in Greenwood, South Carolina you can catch a double-movie under the stars at the 25 Drive-In Auto Theatre, where an old-fashioned night at the movies still feels like a real event. This classic drive-in has three separate screens spread across a gently rolling lot, giving cars a better view while letting you choose from three different movie lineups. You can stay inside your car or bring chairs and sit outside as the sun goes down, and the gates open early enough to grab dinner before the movies begin. The 25 Drive-In is especially known for its food, with hand-pattied burgers, house-made barbecue sandwiches, fries, popcorn, candy, and full meals cooked right there. This weekend, Screen One has Practical Magic 2 followed by The Runner. Screen Two shows Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Runner, while Screen Three features Resident Evil and Insidious 6. The weekend special is an applewood-smoked bacon cheeseburger with chili cheese fries. Gates open at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and one ticket gets you both movies on your chosen screen.
