Thank you all for sharing your compassion and kind comments. Grief is a most difficult human emotion because initially we feel such a finality. The engagement with all of you - comments, texts and phone calls- lightens this sadness with an avalanche of so many beautiful memories. How blessed we are to know you and for you to know Zoey. Zoey was always the first smile of the day and we plan to continue her legacy with sharing smiles everyday. After she left us on her last day, she shared the view of her beautiful rainbow bridge in our eastern sky. ❤️

I forget how pretty she is when the awning is out. We have so much wind up here at 6500 ft. and that makes us so protective of our 45 year old original awning.
We just celebrated our 9 year anniversary with our “Ava” and even though we aren’t on the road full time anymore, we are still living in her full time as we build our “landing pad” up here in the White Mountains of Arizona. We have a winter road trip coming up in January so we will have to curb the “hitch-itch” til then. Homesteading is very demanding!😳
Hope you are out on the road traveling somewhere and enjoying this beautiful country of ours!! 🇺🇸

The whiplash of seasons is upon us! From snow, wind and cold to 70 degrees by 9 am!
Although it is still windy season- which is annoying with afternoon winds 30+mph or more gusts- at least Mr.Sun has won the battle!! 😎
This creek with the falls up in the mountain forest runs only a week or two and is dry the rest of the year. It happens from the higher elevation snow melt and the higher elevation (9-10 thousand feet) got tons of snow in this late winter wrath. We can still see white on some of the peaks.
Had to use the AC yesterday afternoon!🤷‍♀️

An amazing “beach day” by the lake! Squeezing every adventure out we can since we are just a few days away from returning home. We know spring is on the horizon but we will have to gear up to deal with a few more bouts with Ole Man Winter.
