Newly Installed FRA Branch 20 President Sean Purnell and AUX Unit 20 President Heather Price
Sean enlisted in the Navy from his hometown of Sarasota Florida. Followed his grandfathers branch of service who served 22 years onboard both diesel and nuclear submarines, and surface ships during Vietnam. Sean served 10 years as a Machinist Mate aboard USS Peleliu (LHA-5) and USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) out of San Diego with deployments to the 5th and 7th Fleets. Finished his enlistment at Subbase New London and has remained in Groton ever since. Sean has been a member of the Fleet Reserve Association Branch 20 since June 2022. Shortly after joining Sean has been on the Board of Governors and managed the Associate Membership for Club #20.
Since
Heather has been actively involved with the organization for the past 15 years. During that time, she has successfully organized and developed numerous events at the Fleet, most recently the popular Trunk or Treat event. She will also serve as Co-Chair of the upcoming Region Convention. Heather’s dedication to the organization runs deep, as her grandfather is a lifetime member of Branch 20. As she begins her second term as Unit President, Heather looks forward to continuing to serve the community and working alongside the Branch to support its mission and members.
