One year ago, we introduced the Original Duck Mailbox.

It started as a simple idea. We wanted a fun, easy way to join in on ducking, a place to hide ducks without worrying about bothering anyone else, spread a little joy, and maybe come back later to a surprise.

What we didn’t realize was that this little mailbox would turn into something so much bigger than we ever expected.

We’re incredibly grateful to the cruisers who embraced it from the very beginning, especially those of you who brought one on your summer sailings last year and helped build the momentum that followed.

Few things have brought us more joy than creating something that grew beyond our little shop and became part of so many cruise traditions. Knowing it has added a little extra fun to thousands of vacations means more to us than we can say.

When we came up with the original Duck Mailbox, the idea was simple. Create a fun, welcoming place to hide and find ducks during a cruise.

Instead of leaving ducks randomly around the ship, we thought it would be fun to turn your cabin door into a small hub of duck hiding fun.

Our original Leave a Duck, Take a Duck mailbox became a much bigger hit than we ever expected. As more cruisers started participating, we noticed people wanted a dedicated place for ducks to be left for them, along with a separate space to give away ducks of their own.

Rather than rushing out a simple square box, we spent time designing something that felt playful and special. Inspired by classic blue postal boxes, we filled it with thoughtful details for both you and passersby to enjoy.

The deep upper compartment with the door gives fellow cruisers a dedicated place to leave ducks and surprises for you, while the lower compartment offers plenty of room to stock with ducks, stickers, notes, and other small surprises to share throughout your cruise.

Because these mailboxes are designed specifically for cruise cabin doors, we equipped them with six high-grade, cruise-tested magnets that hold securely without sliding down or coming loose.

We truly hope this cheerful little door decoration brings as much joy to your cruise as it brought us while creating it. 🩵

It has been an absolute treat for us to see how much people have been enjoying our Duck Mailboxes. Truth be told, we had no idea it would become this popular!
