PRESS RELEASE

On April 21, we’re asking everyone in America to continue to show their support for the restaurant industry by joining and eating at least one delivery or pick-up meal.

The COVID-19 crisis has devastated the restaurant industry, leaving restaurants reliant on takeout and delivery to survive. The Great American Takeout, has generated widespread buzz, reaching more than 117 million people nationwide, and raised donations for charitable organizations supporting restaurant workers. Ventura Foods was a founding member of this initiative and led the charge with a donation in support of RERF (Restaurant Employee Relief Fund).

This week, Ventura Foods is back at it again with Hidden Valley® Ranch.

These days, your home isn’t just a home: it’s a school, an office, a daycare...even a park! So on Tuesday, April 21, The Great American Takeout wants you to support restaurants by ordering a takeout meal, throwing down a blanket (whether in the yard or even the living room) and enjoying a springtime picnic at home. As an added incentive for families to support The Great American Takeout, we will award $50 gift cards to 200 at-home picnickers for use on their next takeout meal.

Here’s how you can help:

1. Share. Send this message to your customers and partners and encourage them to participate in the event.
2. Hype it up. You and our customer partners can post to social media once a day from 4/19 - 4/21 encouraging your followers to participate in on 4/21 (we’ve included an official graphic for your use, downloadable here).
3. Rally the troops. Reach out to your community: friends, investors, vendors, clients, media, and brand ambassadors. Share this email and encourage them to participate.
4. Eat. On 4/21, order takeout or delivery from your favorite restaurant. It’s as simple as that! Don’t forget to post a snap or video of your meal, tagged with .
