Please note: Within the corporate limits of Gulf Shores, it is ILLEGAL to enter the Gulf when double red flags are flying. Those who enter the Gulf waters when double red flags are displayed will be subject to a fine and possible Arrest.

While that may sound like sea turtles spend lots of time together, they're actually quite solitary animals. Adult sea turtles typically live and travel alone, only gathering in larger numbers in feeding or mating areas.
