Allegiant has just announced two new destination cities for Gulf Shores International Airport (GUF)!

Starting this fall, you’ll be able to fly nonstop to:

📍 Appleton, Wisconsin via Appleton International Airport (ATW) service begins October 2, 2025, with one way fares starting at just $59!

📍 Des Moines, Iowa via Des Moines International Airport (DSM) service begins October 3, 2025, with one way fares also starting at $59!

🎉 Even more exciting the very first Allegiant flight is landing in Gulf Shores TODAY, Wednesday, May 21st!

Stay tuned we’ll be sharing more updates later today as we welcome this inaugural flight. It’s an incredible moment for the region, as Gulf Shores International officially begins offering commercial air service!

No surprise here!

The Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail, a network that connects Gulf Shores to Orange Beach through Gulf State Park, has once again been ranked as the top-rated recreation trail in USA Today’s 10Best Reader’s Choice Awards.

The trail network was begun in 2003 and includes 29 miles of trail within the park, with plans for expansion “in the works.”
