This is just one example of the work that is being done by Harpeth Conservancy. Thanks to all of my friends who have supported and make it possible!!! Our fiscal year ends on Sunday if you have been meaning to give "this year," but haven't yet.

We are thrilled to announce that our efforts have resulted in significant reductions in phosphorus pollution from the Franklin sewer plant into the Harpeth River.

We coordinated expert input on the potential risks for to the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation which led to a new threshold level in the 2017 Franklin sewer permit. City of Franklin, TN - Municipal Government crossed the high threshold last year, and after input from the state is now achieving significant reductions in its phosphorus discharges to the . As a result, Harpeth Conservancy offered to dismiss our appeal of the 2017 permit as a joint dismissal with Franklin who had also appealed its own state permit with TDEC. The joint dismissals were filed on 3/26.

We are focusing efforts in a collaborate fashion that includes all communities around the Harpeth to achieve a common goal of recovering the entire Harpeth RIver--one of the most highly recreated rivers in TN, not to mention Nashville's very own State Scenic River!
