Seacrest 506 is now being managed by Brett Robinson who has been 'on the island' for many years and does a very professional job of managing our condo. However, if you're a previous guest who rented through me (the owner) you are still welcome to contact me to set up your rental - I can give you a bit of a discount and would love to have you back.

I know that everyone has seen the cost of everything increase and our expenses at 506 have done the same. However, the only increase that has been passed along to you, our guests, since November of 2022 has been the increase in our tax rate down here. I regret that I won't be able to continue this. Effective immediately, there will be an increase in our rental price that will reflect the almost doubling of our parking pass cost and a 70% increase in our housekeeping costs. I will be working on the new 'rate sheet' and posting it on our website asap. In the meantime, bookings made BEFORE I get the new rate sheet up will honor the old rates with the exception of 16% tax as opposed to 15% tax which I cannot change.

We keep a flashlight with a red filter on it in the hutch in the entrance way.... please use it if you want to walk the beach at night.

Going to one of Alabama’s beaches at nighttime can be peaceful, and very fun. But there is one reason why you should keep your bright white lights at home.

We’ve been under a heat advisory for a few days down here, but those folks in the water don’t seem to mind. Come on down to the beach.

From Pensacola, but definitely applicable to Gulf Shores. Stay safe when you come to the beach.

“Aerial view of what rip currents look like. We are entering the season of double red flag 🚩 🚩days.

It means the water is closed bc of dangerous rip currents that will sweep you out to sea. Unnecessary drownings occur each year by tourists who either do not know or do not follow the flags. Standing on the shoreline it may not look dangerous.

If double red flags 🚩🚩are flying, do not get in the water.

If you ever caught in a rip current, do not PANIC. Swim parallel to the shore until you are out of it. Never try to swim straight back to shore as you will tire out and likely drown. As you see in the photo, going towards the waves with the white caps will get you back to shore. Stay safe!! “

Sent to me from our 506 guest - taken from the balcony. What does a rainbow over the Gulf say to you? It's a beautiful time to be at the beach!
