Dalí's 1968 "Butterfly Rose" photolithograph features a long-stem yellow rose in full bloom. In place of typical leaves, the artist implemented an assortment of butterfly wings, turning it into a new, surreal creation. For Dalí, the butterfly is the perfect symbol of metamorphosis, which can be seen as symbolic of the entire exhibition.

I can’t grow a mustache so I chose the Black Tooth for Peace and tranquility!

Ever wondered why the mustache? 🤔

It has been suggested that Dalí’s mustache was a tribute to Spanish Golden Age Painter Diego Velázquez. On one occasion, Dalí stated, "It's the most serious part of my personality. It's a very simple Hungarian moustache. Mr. Marcel Proust used the same kind of pomade for this moustache."

Whether grown as a tribute to Velázquez or simply a mark of distinction and Spanish flair, the artist’s mustache has become a cultural emblem in its own right. 🌟
