A view of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge most people never get to see. 🌉🚤

These photos show the underside of the Skyway, where a particular message had been visible on the concrete for years. Then, suddenly, someone apparently decided it needed to disappear.

Well… they tried. 😂

It’s been painted over, but as you can see, the cover-up didn’t exactly cover it up.

The funny part? With all the maintenance that could use some attention under the bridge, apparently this made the to-do list before fixing the lights. 💡🤷‍♂️

Nothing to see here, folks… literally. 😂

Supporting informed coastal planning through marine field investigations 🌊

Environmental Consultants of Florida recently completed a 67-acre benthic seagrass survey in support of the City of Gulfport Florida's mooring field expansion project.

Benthic surveys help document existing submerged habitat conditions and identify marine resources that should be considered during project planning, environmental review, design, and permitting. This information is particularly important for projects involving mooring fields, marinas, docks, dredging, shoreline improvements, and other work within Florida’s coastal waters.

Completing a survey of this scale required extensive in-water fieldwork and careful documentation throughout the project area. The information collected will help support informed decision-making as the proposed expansion moves forward.

We thank Beach Charters By The Bay for providing professional captain and vessel support throughout the field investigation.

ECF provides benthic resource and seagrass survey services for coastal and waterfront projects throughout Florida.

We are grateful for the opportunity to support the City of Gulfport and provide environmental information that will assist with informed planning for the community’s waterfront resources.
