What Is like to own a short term vacation rental? It is a lot of work I come down to the houses when there is an opening in the schedule last minute, no pre-planning You have to book first because that is how the bills get paid
I have been here for 9 days and every single day I work til I can’t stand the pain anymore Everything aches on my body I take Tylenol and go to bed and start again the next day.

Just today I bricked up a small section of the bottom part of the house The crawl space air circulation vent kept coming out and the bricks were not laid correctly and a couple of them fell in. I had to fix it.
Also today I have been working on cleaning and properly installing my Ez Breeze porch windows . I have been at that for two days

I touched up paint on my refrigerator due to a little rust spot on the water dispenser tray

Put a coat of grout refinished in the master shower

Those are just from today Every day is like that always something needs my attention.

I have a bad foot so this is even harder on me But you have to do a gut check and keep on going because I want the best experience for my guests.

Anyway This is my day How was yours? Lol

Both of our vacation rentals. Gulf Breeze Depot has the pool. The Gulf Breeze Cottage has the gulf view and easy walk to beach. They are on the same block so easy set up to rent for large families. Just walk back and forth with no effort

Had a few open days at The Gulf Breeze Depot. I start my stay nice and fresh and within hours it turns ugly. The swimming pool was super hot and algae had spread. I scrubbed and worked all week on it. Hope I found the culprit when I took the ladder out and saw it covered in green algae. Scrubbed it and bleach it In between cleaning the pool I walked next door to the Gulf Breeze Cottage and worked on my pergola project. Tough week. But I try to end it with one night getting cleaned up and putting on a dress

I just got back from the coast. One of My spring projects, staining the porch. Had three days to work between guests.

I worked hard last week. Arrived on Monday and by Thursday I had put up a gazebo and stained my front porch.

Just letting everyone know the Depot survived Ida just fine. No damage Gulfport In good shape also
