After much discussion and deliberation I’m sorry to say we have decided to cease offering charters and close La Dolce Vita Cruises. We have totally enjoyed the past 6 years and will miss the incredible passengers, amazing sunsets, the beautiful dolphin and documenting on Facebook. I will keep the FB Page and may post about our new adventures.
We have decided to retire again. We are truly blessed to have assisted with creating memories with all of you and your families and friends. We appreciate your patronage and now we plan to create our own personal memories. We recently took a trip and the photos I included are from that trip. That’s how we want you to remember us!

We had our last cruise, at least for this year, yesterday with some great friends and former coworkers in Murfreesboro TN. Steve and Martha came down to the Coast to get away and Laura, who now lives in Columbia MS joined them. It was so much fun to spend time with them! Weather and sunset was amazing! We had some dolphin join us. But, best of all, being with wonderful friends!! We will be out of service starting today.

What a wonderful cruise to Ship Island and out into the Gulf this evening with Brian, Amanda, Abigail and Ender from Howell MI. They are visiting the Coast to celebrate Amanda’s Grandmother’s 90 Birthday with tons of family members. Water was amazingly calm, temperature was perfect and we saw lots of dolphin. Got some pics of the dolphin jumping just below the kids. Abigail and Ender drove the boat. Ender had lots of energy and explored all over the boat while Abigail sat up top with Capt Jim learning all about navigation. We saw the sunset to the west and the almost full moon to the east. They totally enjoyed the experience!

We had an outstanding cruise to Ship Island and out into the Gulf this evening with Andrew and Lisa from Jackson MS. They are celebrating their 12th Anniversary with a trip to the Coast. Dolphin swam with us and the sunset and cloud formations were amazing! They said the cruise was wonderful and so relaxing! Happy Anniversary Andrew and Lisa!

It was a beautiful evening as we cruised to Ship Island with Les and Cheryl from Fairview Park OH. We saw lots of dolphin swimming and bobbing but couldn’t get them to swim with us. We watched them jumping in the wake in front of the Chiquita Banana container ship as we passed it and I’m thinking they were just worn out. But the sunset and weather were gorgeous. They said they totally enjoyed their evening on the water and it ended their vacation on a very high note!

We had a dolphin-filled cruise to Ship Island this afternoon with Rodney, Nikki, London and Emmett from Chicago. Water was as calm as it gets and the breeze was wonderful. We had lots of dolphin swim with us and I got some pics of them jumping right under London. Emmett was in constant search of pirate ships. They brought some snacks and drinks and London and Emmett drove the boat. They said the experience was amazing!

We had a beautiful cruise to Ship Island this evening with repeat passenger, Patsy, along with Kizzy and Berley from Baton Rouge and Eddie and Tony from New Orleans. The weather was perfect. At the Island they released balloons in memory of Patsy’s grandson, Orlando, who she tragically lost 2 yrs ago. Today would have been his 21st Birthday. RIP Orlando. We had dolphin join us under the bow but none of the passengers were brave enough to come to the bow pulpit to see them. We saw some huge jellyfish and tons of pelicans. Capt Jim of North Star Sailing caught a pic of us as we headed out of the harbor. The sun was brilliant while setting and produced some nice colors. Patsy said whatever weighs on your heart, the cruises bring you peace. They all really enjoyed their evening on the water and Patsy said she will be back!

We had a solemn but beautiful cruise out the channel between Cat and Ship Islands this evening with Azalia and Zion from Dallas TX. Azalia’s husband and Zion’s stepfather, David, passed away Aug 5, 2022 and they knew he wanted his final resting place to be on the MS Gulf Coast. They loved visiting the Coast and have made many trips here. They played music he loved as they deposited his ashes into the Gulf waters. They had several tributes to him and said the setting was perfect. RIP David.
We did have some dolphin join us in the wake and under the bow on the way out. The weather was amazing and the sunset was very nice. Azalia said David was smiling down on them.

We had a 10 yr Anniversary cruise to Ship Island yesterday evening with Mark and Michele from Brandon MS. The weather was perfect, water was calm and we finally found the dolphin toward the east end of the island. The seagulls entertained us diving for bait fish. Michele caught a couple of great pics of some with a fish in their mouth and sent them and a few other pics to me. Mark and Michele asked a lot of questions about the area and loved it when the dolphin swam with us. They said the experience was amazing! Happy Anniversary!!

We had a beautiful cruise to Cat Island this evening with Tim and Karen from White Plains NY. The water started out unbelievably calm like glass. We saw some dolphin but couldn’t get many to swim with us very long. However, the sunset and cloud formations made up for that. We had great conversation and they enjoyed some snacks and drinks. They said it was perfect!
