Sliding into the weekend like...
A river otter! A North American River Otter (Lontra canadensis), this is one of our favorite sights to see- river otters sliding down snow hills as if they're practicing for the luge. You can often spot 'otter chutes' on snow-covered hills leading to water sources. This photo captured by our very own Ranger Steve

This rainbow just appeared over the cove; not a bad send-off for the week! The gray skies of the past week have finally given way to sunshine and quickly-fading fog.

Where two glaciers meet: Johns Hopkins Glacier(right) and Gilman Glacier(left) both slowly flow into Johns Hopkins Inlet, meeting at its Southeastern corner. Note the difference in color of the two glaciers: Gilman on the left has less rock incorporated into it when compared to Johns Hopkins on the right.
