Guthrie Ghost Walk

Guthrie Ghost Walk Guthrie Ghost Walk is an outdoor walking tour of Downtown Guthrie's historically haunted locations.

Historic Downtown Guthrie has always been a focal point for stories of spirits, sprights and specters. From the bullet holes in the ceiling of the Bluebell Saloon to the shuttered windows of the Territorial Jail, the downtown area is the backdrop for stories of heartbreak, mysterious happenings, and murderous intent - not to mention a few instances of just plain bad luck. As you walk through part

of the largest historic district in the United States you will experience the classic architecture of the Victorian/Edwardian Era in the town where Oklahoma began. You will walk the same streets that once hosted famous politicians, activists, actors, and outlaws. You will hear tales of hauntings, sightings, and the unexplained. And if you are lucky-or unlucky- maybe you'll experience an encounter yourself.

It’s Friday, friends, and I am exhausted. I finished my final day of coursework for my CDL for my bus (🥳) and just got home. I don’t see any reservations for this evening, and we will have rain coming in.

So, I would like to propose an alternate plan- no Walk tonight and everyone gives themself permission to take the evening for petting your cat, snuggling your dog, watching a movie with your family, or game night with your friends.
Spend the evening with the living who make you happy because we can lose them in the blink of an eye.

Update on Stef:
The 7 hour-plus surgery went well, according to the surgeon. He believes they managed to get most of-if not all- of the main tumor, as well as one of the smaller ones visible in the surgical field. This leaves two small lesions that will be dealt with via laser, chemo, or radiation. But for the next 4-6 weeks her job is to recover from this surgery. She still is struggling with speech (she has Yes, No, Thank You, Right??!? down solid) and seems to be unable to swear at the moment… 😜😜
She also has a bit of a deficit on the right side (shuffled gate in right foot, difficulty lifting right arm.)

Tomorrow she will be moved to a regular room and continue her speech therapy and occupational therapy visits. She and Melissa are forever grateful for the good wishes and support. We will post updates as things progress.

Many of you are probably familiar with Stef Fortney, guide extraordinaire of the infamous Stef Specials Halloween walks.

Stef was recently diagnosed with glioblastoma- an aggressive brain cancer- and is currently in surgery to remove as much of it that they can do safely.

Feel free to share good wishes and thoughts here, and I will keep you updated.
