Guthrie Ghost Walk Guthrie Ghost Walk is an outdoor walking tour of Downtown Guthrie's historically haunted locations.

Historic Downtown Guthrie has always been a focal point for stories of spirits, sprights and specters. From the bullet holes in the ceiling of the Bluebell Saloon to the shuttered windows of the Territorial Jail, the downtown area is the backdrop for stories of heartbreak, mysterious happenings, and murderous intent - not to mention a few instances of just plain bad luck. As you walk through part

of the largest historic district in the United States you will experience the classic architecture of the Victorian/Edwardian Era in the town where Oklahoma began. You will walk the same streets that once hosted famous politicians, activists, actors, and outlaws. You will hear tales of hauntings, sightings, and the unexplained. And if you are lucky-or unlucky- maybe you'll experience an encounter yourself.

One more for the summer!

Tomorrow, Friday August 8th, will be our last summer Walk. It will start at 8:30 pm. We usually only take our hiatus the last two weeks of August, but this heat doesn’t look like it is going to break for a while.

We will return for our fall schedule on Friday, September 5th for our Rascals, Scoundrals, and Thieves series. We will also include Sunday Walks starting mid month.

If you have a group and want to Walk prior to September 5th please contact us. Weather permitting, we can work something out!

We are Walking tonight at 8pm!
Saturday is Red Brick Night, which usually prevents us from Walking, but they are trying something different and having the bands inside various locations. I have no idea how that will work out with the Walk tomorrow, but I’m game to try if you are 😬

For 11 years I have been talking about wanting a short bus or a used zoo tram. I’m not going to lie; I was pulling for the zoo tram.

Well, that didn’t happen.

No, Guthrie Ghost Walk is NOT ceasing operations!

Tonight’s Walk is cancelled due to a Heat Advisory for dangerous conditions.

We will be back next weekend and will move the start time to 9pm if necessary!

Given the predicted temperatures and heat index this evening we are cancelling tonight’s Walk. Things are looking better for Saturday!

Stay hydrated, stay out of the sun, and stay tuned for tomorrow’s status!

We are scheduled to Walk this Friday and Saturday, but are watching the temperatures closely. Heat advisories are predicted, with the heat index at the Walk start time expected to be between 96 and 104.

A final decision will be made by 3 pm each day as to whether or not we need to cancel.
