"The Olympics have come and gone.
And Rio de Janeiro showed the world that Brazil could organize the Olympic Games with competence, joy, beauty and charm.
Brazilians are proud to say that it all worked out: the Olympic venues were impeccable, public transport worked beautifully, volunteers showed flexibility and smiles galore, the Opening and Closing Ceremonies won everyone’s hearts, and the Olympic legacy can be seen all over the city.
Brazilians proved that, yes, they are a carefree people, but they are also competent and dedicated when they put their minds to it, and above all, showed that they are a welcoming people.
Despite a lot of negative press before the Games began, the ever-hovering threats did not materialize: no zika virus, no crime, no muggings, but rather what tourists saw was a flood of joy and an uplifting spirit all around.
86% of tourists who did come to Rio for the Games stated that they plan to come back, that there is a lot to see and that 17 days were not enough.
And Rio is just the entry point to a continental and diverse country. Brazil can offer the marvelous beaches of the Northeast, the beautiful European-like landscape of the South, the mountains in Eastern Brazil, Iguaçu Falls, the Pantanal lowlands, the Amazon Region, to mention just a few attractions. And all with their unique fauna and flora. All out there waiting for you to explore!"

Places one should see in Brazil - Impressive views are the trademark of the Chapada Diamantina in the state of Bahia. Not just the views, but orchids too. Hadrolaelia sincorana is one of the most impressive ones.

October / November 2015 - South Brazil, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo and Rio de Janeiro

Our latest tour was run in October / November of 2015, and it was a resounding success. Even the weather, that sometimes decided to play tricks on us, ended up being helpful in showing everyone the real conditions under which orchids can grow in the wild. A good example we could find in south Brazil, where the majestic views from the canyons were replaced by cold and drizzly fog. The orchids were in bloom, but the weather kind of answered any questions about the humidity and temperature requirements of the plants.
