As those familiar with me are aware, Jamaica holds a special place in my heart. Consequently, when Hurricane Melissa struck, I knew I had to take action. I have just returned from a weekend trip to deliver much-needed supplies. I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to Cooks Glass and Mirror for their generous donation of tarps, Mrs. Chiarello from University Heights School for her donation of essential school supplies, The New Jersey Food Council for their contribution of Ramen noodles, and to all my clients and friends who donated, enabling me to procure supplies. I would also like to express my appreciation to Jamaica Transport Tours for their assistance in transporting these supplies to those in need. With that being said, if you are considering vacationing in Jamaica, I encourage you to do so, as the country is now open to tourists and your support is crucial in helping the local population, who are still in need of assistance. The people of Jamaica are in dire need of supplies, as many of those who cater to tourists have no access to basic necessities like power and water. Tarps, solar lights, and food are among the essential items required. School supplies and tools are also desperately needed. The Jamaican people are resilient and grateful for any assistance they receive. I firmly believe that additional humanitarian trips would be beneficial. I have included some photos and videos for your reference. If you are interested in donating, Jamaica Transport Tours has established a GoFundMe page for this purpose.
