Hi, I am Dakota Redford, your innkeeper. Ryan and I have been married since 2000. We have four boys and have lived in the Rocky Mountains of Utah since 2000. We enjoy Lego, board games, puzzles, swimming, our little farm, lots of sports (FOOTBALL!!) These boys keep us young, at least I keep telling myself that!!
In May of 2015 my cousin Meg approached me about a beautiful house that would be perfect for a Bed & Breakfast. When Ryan and I saw the pictures and heard the stories of this wonderful town, we agreed it was a great idea! The first time I pulled into the driveway, I was giddy, and a little emotional. No words can explain the love, peace and joy I felt. I knew I needed this beautiful home in my life!
We purchased and furnished the home and began the Bed & Breakfast that October. For nearly 2 years, Meg ran the day to day of the business and I commuted once a month from Utah to assist. Each time I came out, I fell more in love with the place and the peace I felt here. Then, we decided this would also be a great place to raise the boys. We moved to our Home in Hamilton, Missouri, June 2017. We have added a small hobby farm and enjoy the sights and sounds of our miniature animals including Cow, Pig, Horse, Donkey, Goats, Chickens, Ducks, Rabbits, Cats and Doggies and our latest addition...a box turtle the boys found on the side of the highway!
We hope you feel just at home here as we do! Relax near the pond, take a serene walk around the property, enjoy breakfast on the expansive deck, or curl up in my favorite spot near one of the many fireplaces with a cup of hot chocolate! We welcome you to Our Home Inn Hamilton.
