Livingston Parish Community Waterway Cleanup

Saturday, September 12, 2026 | 8 a.m.–12 p.m.

LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. — Livingston Parish Government, in partnership with Keep Livingston Parish Beautiful, Keep Louisiana Beautiful, the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office and Springfield Fire Department, invites the community to participate in the Love Our Waterways Litter Cleanup on Saturday, September 12, from 8 a.m. to noon.

With approximately 400 miles of navigable waterways, Livingston Parish’s rivers, lakes and waterways are an important part of the parish’s culture, recreation and quality of life. The cleanup gives residents an opportunity to help protect these natural resources for future generations.

Boats of all sizes and types are welcome. Families, fishing and boating clubs, civic organizations, sports teams, businesses, churches and individuals are encouraged to participate. Cleanup supplies will be provided.

Discover One Of Louisiana’s Best Disc Golf Courses — Right Here In Walker City of Walker Parks and Recreation & Community Outreach !

Whether you’re a Livingston Parish local or looking for a new reason to visit, grab your discs and experience one of Louisiana’s fastest-growing outdoor attractions!

Established in May 2025 through a collaboration between the City of Walker, Leadership Livingston, and the Baton Rouge Disc Golf Association (BRDGA), this 18-hole course was designed by world-renowned course architect Avery Jenkins, 2009 World Champion and Disc Golf Hall of Fame member.

The course features 18 holes across 5,500 feet, offering moderate difficulty that makes it fun for experienced players while still welcoming newcomers. Plus, you’ll find restrooms, water, and a pro shop on site.
