The City of Walker’s BIGGEST Event of the Year is the 4th of July Celebration. It will be an unforgettable night at Sidney Hutchinson Park as we celebrate our country’s 250th Birthday!

The big party is Saturday, July 4th, from 5:00 PM – Dark. This annual celebration brings out a HUGE crowd, with Food Trucks, a Kids Village, Vendor Market, Live Music and of course…Fireworks!

We are excited to announce the 1st Annual Hungarian Harvest Festival on Sept. 25 – 27. Come celebrate Hungarian heritage with a weekend full of family fun, delicious food, music, and entertainment at Fayard Field in Springfield, Louisiana with traditional Hungarian dancing & entertainment all day, live music from local entertainers, vendors, and Authentic Hungarian foods & pastries. Their summer camp classes are filling up fast, so reserve your spot before they run out! Bringing visitors to Livingston Parish starts with sharing our story where travelers are looking for their next adventure.

This weekend, Livingston Parish Tourism, Tangipahoa Tourism, Ascension Tourism and the Southeast Louisiana Gumbo Group are helping showcase Louisiana at the 33rd Annual Mike Arnone’s Crawfish Festival in Augusta, New Jersey. Thousands of attendees are experiencing the food, music, and culture that make Louisiana famous, while learning about the outdoor recreation, unique attractions, local restaurants, and welcoming communities found right here in Livingston Parish.

Events like this help introduce our parish and southeast Louisiana to new audiences and encourage travelers from the Northeast to add Livingston Parish to their Louisiana vacation plans. We look forward to welcoming them to experience all the fun, food, and hospitality our parish has to offer.
