One of my favorite things about travel is that sometimes the most meaningful moments aren’t the ones you plan for.

They’re the ones that happen in between.

The laughter that fills the air as your family learns to make fresh pasta from scratch. The pride on your child’s face when they master a new skill. The quiet conversation shared while overlooking the colorful cliffside villages of Positano. The moment you realize everyone has put their phones away because they’re too busy soaking it all in.

That’s exactly what I love about this custom 7-day Sorrento & Amalfi Coast itinerary.

Designed for travelers who want more than a rushed sightseeing tour, this journey blends iconic Italian experiences with the freedom to slow down and truly connect with the destination—and with each other.

Spend your days exploring the remarkably preserved ancient cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum, where history comes alive in a way no textbook ever could. Cruise the sparkling coastline from Naples to the postcard-perfect villages of Amalfi and Positano. Paddle along the Mediterranean on a guided kayak excursion, discovering hidden coves and breathtaking coastal views. Roll up your sleeves during an authentic pasta-making class and learn recipes that will bring a taste of Italy back home long after your vacation ends.

And perhaps best of all? There is time built in simply to be.

To wander the charming streets of Sorrento. To linger over a meal with a sea view. To enjoy an afternoon by the pool at the beautiful Parco dei Principi Sorrento. To experience Italy the way it was meant to be experienced—not rushed, but savored.

With flights, accommodations, transportation, and curated experiences all thoughtfully arranged, you can focus on what matters most: creating memories together while immersing your family in the culture, history, and beauty of one of the world’s most beloved destinations.

Because the best vacations don’t just help us escape our everyday lives.

They remind us how good life can be when we slow down and experience it together. 🇮🇹✨

A trip is something you take.

A memory is something you carry forever.

The difference often comes down to intention.

A trip focuses on checking boxes.

A memory happens when you slow down enough to experience the moment.

It’s the sunset your family unexpectedly watched together.

The ice cream stop that wasn’t on the itinerary.

The conversation that happened during a long walk through a new city.

The inside joke that follows your family home and gets repeated for years.

Those moments can’t be scheduled.

But they can be protected.

That’s why I believe so strongly in thoughtful travel planning.

Not to fill every minute.

But to create enough space for the magic to find you.

Because years from now, your children probably won’t remember every detail of the resort or every attraction you visited.

But they’ll remember how they felt.

Loved.
Connected.
Present.

And those are the memories worth investing in.

✨ What family vacation memory still makes you smile years later?

At some point, many parents start asking a different question.

Not “Where should we go on vacation?” but rather, “How do we show our children more of the world?”

How do we help them experience different cultures, hear new languages, taste unfamiliar foods, and discover that the world is so much bigger than the four walls of a classroom?

That’s exactly why I love Adventures by Disney’s Danube River itineraries.

Imagine your family cruising through the heart of Europe, waking up in a new destination each day. One morning you’re exploring storybook villages in Germany. The next, you’re discovering the history of Austria, the beauty of Slovakia, or the charm of Hungary. Along the way, your children aren’t just seeing these places—they’re experiencing them through hands-on activities, cultural immersion, and unforgettable local connections.

And because it’s Adventures by Disney, every detail is expertly handled for you. Family-friendly experiences, VIP access, engaging Adventure Guides, and thoughtfully designed activities mean parents can focus on what matters most: being present.

Whether you’re dreaming of the classic Danube River Cruise, celebrating at Oktoberfest on the adults-only Danube River Oktoberfest sailing, wandering through enchanting Christmas Markets, or making holiday memories aboard the Magical Holiday itinerary, each sailing offers the perfect blend of education, culture, connection, and adventure.

Because the best family vacations don’t just create memories.

They expand horizons, spark curiosity, and help our children see the world in a whole new way. ✨

“Europe sounds amazing… but maybe when the kids are older.”

I hear this all the time.

And honestly?

Europe is often far easier with children than families expect.

Kids don’t see Europe as a checklist of landmarks.

They see castles.
They see gondolas.
They see trains.
They see giant gelato cones and cobblestone streets that feel straight out of a storybook.

They don’t care if they visit every museum.

They’re fascinated by feeding pigeons in a centuries-old square.
Watching boats drift through a canal.
Trying a pastry they can’t pronounce.

The secret isn’t trying to do Europe like adults.

The secret is doing Europe like a family.

Slower mornings.
Fewer hotels.
More playground stops.
Long lunches.
Plenty of gelato.

When planned intentionally, Europe becomes one of the most rewarding family destinations in the world.

✨ Sometimes the destinations that seem the most intimidating become the ones your family talks about for years.

Happy 7th birthday to my spunky, silly, sweet, ornery, fish wrangling little man! I hope you have the greatest birthday and the most exciting year filled with fishing trips, camp outs and all the things you love!

Before I became a travel advisor, I was a mom.

And if I’m being honest, becoming a mom completely changed the way I travel.

Before kids, I chased destinations.

Now, I chase moments.

The moments when Sawyer discovers something new and his curiosity takes over.

The moments when Brielle’s eyes light up because she met a character she’s been dreaming about for months.

The moments when we’re all laughing together so hard that nobody reaches for a phone.

Traveling with my children has taught me that the destination is only part of the story.

The real magic happens in the in-between.

It’s the confidence they gain when trying something unfamiliar.
The questions they ask about the world.
The memories we build together that become part of our family’s story.

Those experiences have shaped not only how I travel with my own family, but how I plan travel for the families I serve.

Because at the end of the day, we’re not just booking vacations.

We’re creating opportunities for connection.

And I can’t think of anything more important than that.

There is something magical about seeing the world dressed for Christmas.

Maybe it’s watching snow fall softly on a centuries-old European square while your children marvel at twinkling lights.

Maybe it’s seeing their faces when they walk down Main Street, U.S.A., with a towering Christmas tree sparkling in the distance.

Maybe it’s escaping winter altogether and celebrating the holidays with sandy toes and turquoise water.

The destination looks different for every family.

But the feeling?

The feeling is always the same.

Wonder.
Connection.
Joy.
The chance to slow down and be fully present with the people who matter most.

Holiday travel has a way of turning ordinary traditions into unforgettable memories.

And while Christmas 2026 might seem far away today, the families securing the best experiences are already beginning to dream.

✨ Whether you’re envisioning Disney at Christmas, a European Christmas Market adventure, or a warm-weather holiday escape, let’s start imagining what your family’s holiday story could look like.

Because the most magical Christmas memories don’t happen by accident—they happen by design.

It happens every year.

A family reaches out in October, excited to plan a magical Christmas getaway.

They’ve been dreaming about seeing Cinderella Castle decorated for the holidays…
or wandering through a European Christmas Market with hot cocoa in hand…
or escaping to a tropical beach while everyone else shovels snow.

And then comes the hard conversation.

The resort they wanted is sold out.
The room category that worked for their family is gone.
Flight prices have doubled.

The truth is, holiday travel isn’t difficult because it’s expensive.

It’s difficult because everyone wants the same dates at the same time.

The families who enjoy the most flexibility, the best options, and the least stress aren’t necessarily spending more.

They’re simply planning earlier.

🎄 Holiday 2026 may feel far away, but now is exactly when those conversations should begin.

Future-you—the version of you sipping coffee while watching your kids experience holiday magic—will be very grateful you did.

✨ JUST BOOKED ✨

Most families head to Walt Disney World with a list of must-do attractions.

This family?

They have one very specific mission.

Ride Carousel of Progress as many times as possible before its refurbishment begins this summer. 💙

And honestly, I couldn't love it more.

Because that's the beauty of Disney vacations—they aren't about checking off someone else's list. They're about celebrating the attractions, traditions, and memories that mean something to your family.

This June, they'll be calling Disney's All-Star Movies Resort home while soaking up every moment of Disney magic. There will be photos in front of the castle, favorite snacks, late-night conversations on the bus ride back to the resort, and yes... more than a few spins through a beloved attraction that has become part of their family's story.

There's something special about returning to the places that hold memories.

About making time for "one more ride."

About knowing that while attractions may close temporarily, the moments you share together become part of your family's own great big beautiful tomorrow.

Here's to counting down the days until the magic begins. ✨🏰

Every summer starts with a bucket list.

The pool toys.
The backyard projects.
The new gadgets that promise to make this the “best summer ever.”

But years from now, your children won’t remember what showed up on the front porch in a cardboard box.

They’ll remember the ice cream that melted faster than they could eat it on a hot afternoon.

They’ll remember staying up too late watching fireworks from a beach chair.

They’ll remember spotting dolphins from a boat, collecting seashells with you at sunrise, or laughing so hard during a family adventure that their stomach hurt.

The older my children get, the more I’m convinced that the greatest gift we can give them isn’t another thing.

It’s time.

Time together.
Experiences together.
Stories they’ll tell long after they’ve outgrown the toys.

Because childhood is made up of ordinary moments that become extraordinary memories.

And summer has a way of creating more of those moments than any other season.

✨ What is one summer memory from your childhood you’ll never forget?
