Mahalo to an unnamed airlines for having us talk about our relief efforts, Maui post disaster, and the local economy from a small business perspective. I pushed hard for them to promote responsible tourism that welcomes a visitor who is knowledgeable about the current situation on Maui, is wanting to learn about culture and it’s people, is respectful for local traditions and communities, and willing to support small business.

Aloha. So sad and heartbroken following the tragic loss of life and property in Historic Lahaina. Maui is strong. We will slowly recover from this. Hana Inn formerly Joe's Place is open for Kaamaina and are proud to have housed some fire fighters needing a break. Like so many Maui small businesses, we are wiped out, but starting the road to recovery. We are open, and have many openings. If you want to come take a break in Hana, we would love to see you. Lahaina will rebuild and eventually recover. Visitors to Maui are a part of our recovery and rebuilding. Keep Lahaina as it was! No LandGrabs ! Mahalo Nui Loa

Something to do BEFORE THE END OF TODAY.
STOP ALL NON ESSENTIAL TRAVEL. YOUR DELAY IN THIS IS PUTTING THE PEAK FOR THE ISLANDS OFF TO MID JUNE, AND EACH DAY INCREASES AND ENDANGERS OUR KAPUNA, OUR OHANA, OUR CHILDREN, OUR HEALTHCARE WORKERS, OUR RESOURCES - TO YOUR CONSTITUTIENTS.
SHAMEFUL.
WAKE UP TO THE SERIOUSNESS OF THIS.
There are new arrivals - some likely carriers of CV-19 standing in line with your residents at Costco, Walmart, Safeway, gas stations, mailing post cards from our post offices.
DELAY IS ENDANGERING, AND WILL BE KILLING OUR NEIGHBORS AND FRIENDS.
STOP THIS NOW. NOW. NOW. No more lip service, or talking.
Action should have been taken back in mid March, if not sooner.
Press from today. "Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell, Maui Mayor Mike Victorino and Kauai Mayor Derek Kawakami have asked President Donald Trump to order a stop for all nonessential travel to Hawaii. But so far, Gov. David Ige hasn’t backed that request." Don't wait for Trump, don't wait for anything. Do NOT wait to see what tomorrows press will be saying.

Aloha Community- This is almost a first post.
We voluntarily closed last week until further notice. So if anyone is driving our road - they are not coming here. Send 'em all back. Wishing the flights were stopped last week, sooner wildly better. Please be careful, be safe and stay healthy. Protect our Kapuna. Mahalo Nui Loa. Gabby and family
