Rabies is very rare in domestic animals, and that is all thanks to state regulations on rabies vaccines. In the US in 1947, leash laws became more enforced, mandatory vaccinations started, and strict isolation for exposed animals began. Since then, Rabies has become more and more uncommon in the domestic pet. And that is all thanks to these regulations and the rabies vaccine! You should always be sure to keep your pets up to date on all vaccines- but rabies especially! Prevention is key. And we can help! For our 3rd anniversary of being open this year, we would like to give back to our community with our first ever rabies clinic! We will be offering 25 canine rabies vaccines and 25 feline rabies vaccines for only $20 each. This is a one day only event and you MUST book ahead. We're celebrating one incredible year as South Shore Dance Ensemble and we'd love to see you there!

Join us on Wednesday, July 29 from 6:00-7:30 PM for an evening of fun and celebration at our Anniversary Celebration and Open House event.

Need new dance shoes or dancewear for the upcoming season? Boston Dancewear will be on-site with shoes, apparel, and accessories. If your dancer needs a shoe fitting, be sure to reserve an appointment ahead of time: Book your fitting. While walk-in fittings are available, priority will be given to dancers with an appointment.

We're also thrilled to welcome Megan Crowley from The Healing Umbrella in Hanover, who will be offering FREE 10-minute chair massages during the event! Parents are invited to sign up, and students are welcome to participate as long as a parent is present. Appointment times are extremely limited, and Megan is amazing, so be sure to reserve your spot early!

You'll also have the chance to chat with Jaimie Doherty from Empowering Athletes! Learn about the incredible programs and services she offers to help dancers perform at their best.

Finally, you'll be able to register for fall classes if you haven't already done so!

Don't miss the Annual State of the Town Breakfast on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 7:30 AM at Laura's Center for the Arts at the South Shore YMCA Emilson - Hanover MA, 97 Mill Street.

Hosted by the Town of Hanover and the Hanover Chamber of Commerce, this annual event brings together residents, business owners, and community leaders for updates on the projects, initiatives, and priorities shaping Hanover's future.
