For staterooms on the Wish class ships, we’ve taken a liking to the verandah staterooms on the bump out. Of course anyone can look at the deck plan and figure out which staterooms these are and go ahead and book them. But there are some other characteristics that might also be important to you and we know which rooms are which. You’ll notice in this room, the headboard artwork is Merida. Other options are Raya and the Last Dragon, Mulan, Hercules, Big Hero 6, and the incredibles. Have a favorite theme? I can help you find it! I also have resources to help you figure out whether your muster station is indoors or outdoors. It sounds like a small think because muster drill lasts about 20 minutes, but when you’re standing in a open deck with the hot Florida sun beating on you while you try to wrangle a squirmy toddler, you’ll be wishing you’d taken an extra minute to make sure your muster station was indoors with chairs. And if you’ve booked a placeholder with DCL within the past 30 days, reach out quickly so we can get you placeholder transferred so I can make sure your stateroom has ALL of the features you want on your next voyage!
We do love the split bath in most DCL staterooms, the extra space in the bump out rooms, the amazing amount of storage, and the comfort of these cushy beds—absolutely the most comfortable mattress at sea! The staterooms are not set up to have equivalent sleeping spaces when each person wants their own bed, so DCL is most ideal for nuclear families rather than for friends traveling together. If you’re on a cruise with friends and someone is taking the couch bed, it’s a good idea to go ahead and pre-book a massage at Senses Spa 😉.
