This drink is the only photo I have from lunch at San Angel Inn for several reasons.
The food was great! I wish I could share it with you. But the company was even better and we were on a serious time crunch and the photography just got away from me.
We took a little field trip this morning to a special store for cast members and their guests. After lunch, we were heading to our VIP tour and because that tour was going to end at Magic Kingdom after Epcot closed, so it was not a smart plan to park the car at Epcot. I knew this and we discussed it and then I accidentally just pulled into the Epcot parking lot when I should have been taking the car back to park it at the resort 😵💫. I realized it RIGHT as we were about to pull into the parking space, aborted mission, and drove back to the Polynesian to park the car. But because of the wasted time touring the Epcot parking lot, we ran out of time to reliably get back via monorail, so we had to take a Minnie Van and BOOK IT to the Mexico pavilion to make out lunch reservation. Phew.
Before lunch, we were supposed to have time to shop and hop on the Gran Fiesta Tour starring the Three Caballeros, but with running late, we had to eat lunch efficiently to be able to squeeze in our other activities after lunch.
The reason I’m sharing this story is so that when I say that you need to leave extra space in your itinerary for the unexpected and when I encourage you to keep your dining reservations in the primary park you’re visiting, you can understand why. Walt Disney World is the size of Manhattan and while transportation is very efficient, there is simply a lot of ground to cover.
