We love March Madness, but this was a little too much…

Good news—this photo was taken yesterday, and most of the ice has melted! However, we’re not in the clear just yet, as heavy winds are expected in the area today.

At Trout Creek, electricity, water, and sewer services are all functioning. If you need assistance or need to report an issue, please call 231-526-9655. After business hours, your call will be directed to our Call Center, which will connect you with on-duty or on-call staff.

For general inquiries during office hours (Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4 PM), you can reach our front office at 231-526-2148.

Good morning! Ice is still present on all the trees. Electricity, water and sewer is still working. Roads have a path cut. The guys are salting icy spots this morning. We're assessing all /any building damage today.
Weather report is calling for 1 to 3 inches of snow and wind in the morning cross your fingers that it misses us.

Update: Trout Creek power and WIFI have been restored. The staff is working hard now to clear the interior roads from fallen trees. County Officials have advised residents to stay off roads due to the potential of fallen trees, limbs and power lines that will pose significant hazards. Roads likely will continue to become impassable at times due to fallen debris.

Governor has declared a State of Emergency. Also, as some may not be aware, here’s a glimpse of the ice damage on the trees. For assistance or to report an issue, please call 231-526-9655 (if after business hours you’ll be connected with our Call Center, which will then direct your call to staff that’s either on duty or on-call). During 8am-4pm on week days the front office may be reached at (231) 526-2148.

Our crew will continue to clear wreckage away as long as it’s safe to do so. Thanks for the patience and cooperation. Stay safe.

Update: Power and Wifi have been restored at Trout Creek and the Staff is working to clear our roads. The Emmet County Sheriffs Office is strongly advising residents to stay off the roads due to the potential of falling trees and limbs and power lines.

Due to a severe ice storm area wide - our internet and phone system are not working. Trout Creek does not have power at this time. Sorry for any inconvenience!

🍪 Girl Scout Cookies Take Over Trout Creek! 🍪

Trout Creek was thrilled to be the home base for Harbor Springs Girl Scouts, Troop 9534, as they organized their delicious cookies for delivery! We loved seeing their teamwork in action and were honored to play a small part in their cookie mission.

Best of luck to these hardworking Scouts as they spread joy (and Thin Mints) throughout the community! We just hope they accidentally left a box behind... you know, for quality control purposes. 😉
