Southwest Airlines Avoids IT Outage Thanks to 32-Year-Old System
While a global IT outage caused by a faulty CrowdStrike update grounded many airlines, Southwest Airlines remained unaffected. The key? Their use of Windows 3.1, a 32-year-old operating system. While other major carriers faced disruptions and cancellations, Southwest's reliance on this outdated system spared them from the glitch.
