There’s just something special about spending the day with old friends! 🐚❤️

Phillip, Paula, Tommy, and Becky—old high school friends from Bassett, Virginia—made their first visit to the Crystal Coast, and we had an awesome day together!

We spent the day shelling, exploring this beautiful place we get to call home, telling old stories, laughing, and catching up on life. And of course, we couldn’t send them home empty-handed…they found some GREAT treasures along the way! 🐚🏝️

It’s hard to beat a day on the water, but sharing it with friends you’ve known since the high school days makes it even better.

Thanks for coming down to see us, guys! We had a wonderful time and hope this was just the first of many visits to the Crystal Coast!

🐚 TRIP #14 WITH REEL TANGLED! 🐚

Our good friends Steve & Kim joined us once again for their 14th shelling adventure with Reel Tangled Charters! ⚓️

The shells were doing their best to hide from them this trip, but you can’t keep experienced shell hunters down! 😂 They still managed to score some beautiful whelks, a helmet shell, and plenty of other treasures! 🐚🏝️

We always enjoy having these two back on the boat, and 14 trips with us is something pretty special. Thank you, Steve & Kim, for continuing to choose Reel Tangled for your shelling adventures!

We Will Never Forget — September 11, 2001 🇺🇸

Today, all of us at Reel Tangled Charters pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We honor the firefighters, police officers, first responders, military members, and everyday Americans who showed extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

We remember the families whose lives were forever changed, and we remember how, in the days that followed, our country came together as one.

May we never forget those we lost.
May we never forget the heroes who ran toward danger.
And may we never take for granted the freedom and blessings we enjoy today.

🐚 FOUR HELMETS on their first trip with Reel Tangled! 🤯🐚

We had a great time welcoming the Channel family from Akron, Ohio for their very first shelling adventure with us!

These folks are already pretty avid shellers, so they came ready to hunt—and the Crystal Coast delivered! 🌊 They ended the trip with FOUR beautiful helmet shells, along with some gorgeous whelks, sand dollars, and plenty of other coastal treasures.

There’s just something special about watching experienced shell hunters explore our waters for the first time…and finding FOUR helmets certainly doesn’t hurt! 😎

🍂 Fall and winter shelling is right around the corner—and it’s some of our favorite shelling of the year!
