The Central PA food bank and local food pantries are doing their best to serve families in our community who are struggling to meet basic needs.
If you'd like to contribute some food and personal care items to our neighbors experiencing financial hardship, I'll have a basket in my office to collect nonperishables for the Harrisburg Area Food Pantry, and I'll drop them off each week.
The list of staples include:
Black Beans/Kidney Beans

AURORA UPGRADE! NOAA has upgraded the G2 (Moderate) Geomagnetic Storm Watch to G3 (Strong) for Wednesday, April 16th. This upgrade, on paper, would allow the northern lights to be visible even across mid latitude parts of the U.S.

UPDATE: A piece of this expected energy has arrived at Earth, possibly the first of several waves. This very much opens the window of opportunity for auroras tonight if skies are clear where you are located.

The "Pink Moon" gets its name not from the color of the moon itself, but from the blooming of the creeping phlox wildflower in early spring. This pink-colored flower, often called moss pink, is widespread in eastern and central North America and typically blooms around the time of April's full moon.

It's also called the paschal moon because it's the first full moon of spring.

I'm posting because I now have a calendar of events on my website that just went live.
Because my business was created for small business advertising, initially it was just going to be for our advertisers but then I thought, why not invite nonprofits that are having events. Include parades and things like that. 😊

Visitors can subscribe and even print it out.

If you'd like to add a local parade you know about, you may. Our website is seen by many people locally and regionally but also nationally and globally from people visiting or moving to the area.

Other than that, only sales and events from our LiveWorkPlay family of advertisers and non-profits will be approved.

*** I own and run this business with six publications entirely on my own so please don't submit something last minute for me to approve the next day because, it won't happen :-)
