A few more memories from the Susquehanna.

It’s easy to get caught up chasing the next trip, the next big fish, or the next season, but looking back through the photos reminds us how fortunate we are to spend our days on the water.

The Susquehanna continues to produce some nice smallies and, more importantly, make memories with great people. Thanks to everyone who has shared a boat with us over the past couple weeks.

We’re rolling into prime spring fishing season 🎣

The bite has been a little up and down over the past week, but as the weather and river conditions stabilize, it’s only going to get better from here.

We still have some scattered availability with a few of our guides this spring. If you’re looking to get out on the Susquehanna for a smallmouth trip, reach out and we’ll get you set up.

Spring guiding season is officially underway! 🎣

Joe Raymond and Brian Kessel kicked things off with a two-boat trip, hosting a great group that made the haul up from North Carolina.

We battled some tough conditions. Wind, rain, the whole deal, but at least the temps were on our side. The smallmouth still showed up, and we put together a solid day on a mix of Z-Man baits, including chatterbaits, swimbaits, and finesse presentations.

Looking forward to another year of adventure and making memories on the Susquehanna 💪

Believe it or not, spring guiding season is right around the corner 🌱❄️

Even with this recent cold snap, conditions are shaping up exactly how we like them. Once the ice breaks and water temperatures begin to rise, Susquehanna smallmouth wake up hungry after months of little pressure 🎣🔥

The Susquehanna Smallmouth Guides crew — Joe Raymond, Tom Mills, Chris McDonel, George DeFrehn, Randy Long, Brian Kessel, and Dale Rutherford — are excited to get back on the water and take you fishing this spring 👊

Our spring schedule is already starting to fill. Don’t wait until the last minute — reach out now to lock in your dates 📅✔️

The 2025 guiding season on the Susquehanna River is winding down. We usually push through to the end of the year, but it looks like we’re getting an early arctic blast this time. There’s already ice forming on the creek behind the house, and the main river is hovering around 34°. We might squeeze in another day or two, but no promises!
Stay tuned for an end-of-year recap, plus some musky pics from my quick trip up north this fall.
It’s coal stove season, folks! That’s where you’ll find me cozying up for the next couple months. 😁

The Susquehanna just keeps cranking them out. Water temps are sitting in the low 40s, and this is my favorite time of year to fish the river. We do well all season, but cold water is where I really shine—mid-30s to mid-40s is my wheelhouse.

My schedule is full through the end of the month, but I do have openings in December. I’ll keep fishing as long as people want to go… or until the river ices up.

If you’re itching to chase some cold-water smallies, feel free to reach out. 🎣🔥

It’s been real, October ✌️
Some incredible days spent on the Susquehanna doing what we do best 🎣 I enjoyed every minute of it. I’d love to share some numbers, but that would only cause trouble😅 What really matters are the memories made and the trust it takes to make them happen 🙏
Here’s to seeing what November brings 🍂🔥
