Disappointed that "ticker tape" had to be shot from confetti guns and the ceremony was shortened due to the heat. Nice view of 9/11 Plaza from hotel rooftop bar. New NYC Moynihan train station is so much nicer than old Penn Station.

New York City held a ticker tape parade for heroes of the COVID-19 pandemic on Wednesday.

I really don't care for brussel sprouts but this recipe which roasts cut, soaked sprouts with dark, seedless grapes and chopped walnuts was yum-o! Had it with baked fish and oven-roasted cherry tomatoes, a glass of sauvignon blanc and baked brie with honey and maple syrup for dessert.

The red grapes' sweetness brings out the nutty notes in the sprouts. Walnuts can be swapped for almonds or pecans.
