Jamaica Love Story - Negril Style

My husband and I decided to visit Negril one December, and it became a love story we still talk about today.

The weather was beautiful. Seven Mile Beach was pure relaxation. And the people of Jamaica welcomed us like family. But it was the sunsets that stole our hearts. To this day, every time we talk about Negril, the sunsets are the first thing we bring up.

We enjoyed incredible food, soaked up the sun, and tried Snuba for the very first time. We also chartered a boat, and our guides were amazing. They took us along the coast, through hidden caves, all the way up to Rick’s Café.

It was a truly unforgettable vacation, one we will treasure forever.

Negril, Jamaica, and its sunsets hold a special place in our hearts. And they always will.

My Jamaica love Story

In the spring of 2021, I was invited to a Back to the Beach event at Sandals South Coast, and I knew right away I couldn’t leave without my favorite travel companion. So I extended my stay and arranged for my husband, the love of my life, to fly down and join me once the event wrapped up.

He was nervous. He had never left the US on his own before, so I set him up with Club MoBay to make his arrival as smooth as silk. What he didn’t know was the surprise waiting for him: I had booked us a Rondoval, and he had no idea what kind of room we’d be walking into.

Let’s just say, it was magic.

It was our very first butler suite, and we felt like royalty from the moment we arrived. Our butlers, Romeo and Jasmine (yes, really), took spoiling us to an art form. Lobster lunch on the beach. Fun, mystery beverages that kept appearing like clockwork. They even blew up our swan float so we could drift lazily around our own private Rondoval island, sipping and soaking it all in.

Somewhere between the butler service and that swan float, something shifted in my husband. He came home a changed man. I hate to admit it, but I created a bougie husband, and it’s entirely Sandals South Coast’s fault. Now every trip gets measured against that one, and honestly, I don’t mind one bit.

Jamaica has a special place in our heart!
