Outsider Gear Exchange is a new and used outdoor gear and clothing shop where gear for all, community first, and love & care are at the heart of what they do. Whether you’re gearing up for a Shenandoah Valley adventure or looking for a one-of-a-kind find to take home, it’s well worth a stop.

Even the shop itself tells a Harrisonburg story: the white wall slats were repurposed from the former Glen’s Fair Price, the dressing rooms were created through the Urban Wood Utilization Program, and the sign has a past life at a former Girl Scout camp. ♻️

A little outdoor adventure, a little treasure hunting, and a whole lot of community—sounds pretty Harrisonburg to us.
