If you’re looking for something fun to do out on the water this summer, step aboard the Sabino, a beautifully restored 1908 steamboat cruising down the Mystic River from the Mystic Seaport 🚢⚓️

This relaxing ride takes you past the Mystic drawbridge, historic homes, marinas, and classic New England coastal views, with light narration along the way about the local history and environment. The cruise travels downriver toward Noank before returning back to Mystic.

The Sabino is one of the oldest coal-fired steamboats still operating in the country, making this one of Connecticut’s most unique experiences on the water. You can bring your own food and beverage on board, and during select Sunday evening cruises in the summer, you can even order food from Haring’s in Noank right from the boat for dockside pickup during the ride.

If you’re visiting Mystic this summer, this is one of those classic Connecticut experiences worth adding to your list. Tap the link in our bio for more activities out on the water.

If you're from CT, you already know this: our pizza is the best in the game. There's no question that we're the Pizza Capital of the US. With the most pizzerias per capita of any state, it's hard to deny the chewy, crispy goodness! 🍕

But we had to make sure everyone knew, so we had some fun with it... a marketing campaign that poked fun at New York and other states who claim the throne, a Pizza Trail launch featuring 100 pizzerias voted by CT residents, art installations, countless events, and even highway signs to welcome our out-of-state friends to the Pizza Capital of the US.

It was so effective that it changed public perception of Connecticut. From the top Google results to Late Night talk shows and even strangers on the street, we started the conversation, and our apizza sealed the deal 💯

If you're still doubting, then give this article from Travel + Leisure a read, where they ranked their favorite CT pizzerias and confirmed that the proof is in the pizza 😏

Connecticut is gaining recognition for its unique pizza culture with a new official Pizza Trail map. The trail highlights top pizzerias and five distinct pizza styles, including New Haven’s iconic apizza. The state aims to celebrate its pizza heritage through food, art, and experiences.
