Welcome to Mad Hatteras! We are Oceanfront and Sound front. 2bd/2ba sleeps 6. Where in the OBX do you have a view of the ocean waves rolling in and schools of fish jumping in the sound? We are situated on the narrowest strip of Hatteras Island so on the south end of our back deck you have views of both the ocean and sound while on the front deck you can dolphin watch. Don’t forget your coffee☕️ or glass of wine 🍷 in the evening.

Madhatteras just passed 1,000 in likes. We are so excited and honored that so many like our property. Therefore because we have one summer week left, Aug 21-28 we will pay the taxes on that week $254.00 for someone who chooses us and is a follower on fb. We are so grateful ❤️ to all of our guests for the past six years and truly are in awe of the amount of repeat guests that we get every year that have become more than guests we call them friends. Summer is finally here❤️

Mad Hatteras is a 2bd/2ba sleeps 6. We have several weeks left in Aug due to a cancellation and several weeks in Sept and Oct.

We have all your beach needs and a sound side private dock for crabbing and fishing. Sit on the front deck and watch dolphins along with the sunrise. Sit on our back deck and enjoy both ocean and sound as the sun sets. 🍷

All the remodeling is finished. The new bathroom is beautiful. We also have a beautiful new window in the loft master bedroom and finally all the deck furniture arrived.
A huge thanks to my hubby for all the tiling work and Stephanie Kiker Designs for the beautiful decorative tiles. My design came out as awesome as I envisioned it. One of a kind!!!

We still have a few August weeks to fill. Also some Sept-Nov weeks. Sept-Oct-Nov weeks are quieter, less expensive and the weather is fantastic. We would love to welcome you.

This was taken from our front deck. Sandwiched between the ocean and sound we are feeling the effects of the storm on both sides. The roar of the wind and waves is crazy besides the fact that the building sways. Life on a barrier island!

Larry and I are here doing some remodeling in our upstairs bath. It’s going to be beautiful 🙂 and definitely one of a kind. We are so excited to share the final pics with you.

We also have a brand new bedroom window so that you can listen to the waves as you are lulled to sleep. I wanted to share the beautiful waves today as the wind is coming off the ocean. Taken from our front deck!!!
