Our building is buzzing with excitement as young campers explore the world of rocketry — learning, creating, and having a blast (literally!) with this year’s rocket theme.

The Eastern Carolina Aviation Heritage Foundation's 14th Annual Fly-In is just around the corner — and you won’t want to miss it! Join us on Friday, August 15th from 5pm–7pm at the Havelock Tourist & Event Center for an evening of family fun and aviation excitement.

🎉 Enjoy STEM activities for kids, awesome door prizes, fun giveaways, and free school supplies generously provided by the City of Havelock Police Department! It’s the perfect way to kick off the school year and celebrate our community’s rich aviation history.

Honoring our heroes, past and present! 🇺🇸✈️

We had a wonderful visitor recently at the Havelock Tourist & Event Center! He stopped by and was surprised to see himself featured in our military history display case highlighting Fleet Readiness Center East. He served proudly as an Aviation Technician at MCAS Cherry Point, and now his story is part of the history we love to share with our guests.

Stop in and explore the rich legacy of our local military community. We’re open Monday through Saturday from 8 AM to 5 PM — and admission is always free!

It’s a beautiful day to explore Havelock!

Did you know that we have Slocum Creek Trail, Overlook and Park just outside the Tourist Center?

The trail and overlook are quick, scenic walks that end at Slocum Creek, which has some great fishing!

There is also a gazebo, which is great for enjoying a picnic. So, grab some lunch, enjoy the trails, then stop in the Tourist Center to see our great military and aviation displays!

If you’ve visited the Havelock Tourist & Event Center lately, you may have noticed some extra activity around our beloved RF-4B Phantom II! This iconic aircraft is currently being carefully sanded and prepped for a fresh coat of paint.

We’re proud to preserve this piece of our aviation heritage for all to enjoy — and this is just one example of how we’re always working to make improvements at the Tourist Center.
