Ten properties we’re watching for 2027, in Botswana, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

Some of them are new. Singita opens Elela in the Okavango Delta in December, with eight private camps and guiding by boat, mokoro and on foot. Wolgan Valley in the Blue Mountains is coming back as the first Ritz-Carlton Lodge. Sandringham, a former hunting reserve on the edge of the Greater Kruger, opened to guests this August after five years of rewilding.
