We apologize to any customers that had bookings over the next couple weeks. The water temps on the lake are just too high. The chances of a fish being released healthy is very unlikely. So we decided it’s best for the fish that we don’t catch them until the fall.

Last fall we were out testing new lures and gathering media to help launch our new guide service. So a friend asked if he could invite a mutual friend that has never caught a striper. I said sure why not. We target trophy size fish with our tactics and lure choice. Well it paid off for Darren. He successfully landed this striper without any of our assistance. He decided to entry it in the state wide derby and he won the title of biggest fish in his species category. The official weights and measurements taken the next day by the fish commission go as 43 inches and 33.85lbs. Which is very impressive for a Pa landlocked fresh water striper. Congrats to Darren and his beautiful mount.

*** If you are only going to comment on the fact this gentleman decided to keep his trophy we kindly ask to keep your opinion to yourself and that hopefully someday you can beat this record***

We braved the winds and the smoke last night. Had the lake to ourselves. The striper bite was on and a Walleye joined us. The ticket was a Michigan stinger spoons on either a 3 or 4 color leadcore line set up. No fish were harmed in making this post. Just some sore lips.

First outing of the season. Had a client cancel but we didn’t let that discourage us. So we went fishing. The stripers eluded us but we caught a non typical species. A nice sized rainbow trout. The walleye bite turned on about 8pm. Lost a estimated 10-12 lb walleye but we managed to get some in the boat. The biggest being 6.5 lbs. All in all it was a good evening on the Legendary Lake Wallenpaupack. All fish were released.

Cold but a productive day on Cayuga lake. 10 Lakers and 1 baby salmon by noon. The biggest fish was 28 inches. When we aren’t chasing stripers on Wallenpaupack we are chasing cold water species on the Great Lakes and Finger lakes. We have a few spots available for 2023 targeting stripers and walleye on lake Wallenpaupack.

We are a professional guide service that targets trophy size striped bass,hybrid striped bass, and walleye. Along with guided brown trout and rainbow trips on Harvey’s lake. However we are passionate about all types of fishing. We love going out on the water with other guides and absorbing every bit of information we can. So that being said what is your favorite type of fish to target??? King Salmon would have to be ours and Captain Dave of Reel Silver charters out of Pulaski NY has taught us so much. Techniques that have improved our striped bass fishing.

We will be out on Lake Wallenpaupack all weekend trial testing new gear to help target trophy size stripers. So we did some shopping at Cabelas today. We also picked up some other goodies. We will be mounting a digital scale on the boat with a sling. So when weighing large fish we won’t hurt them. Also we are stealing a revival tactic from a Raystown lake guide. I’m sure he won’t mind. A good set of fish grips and a 10ft rope. Pull them along side the boat. Once the fish seems lively enough simply release them. Special thanks to CD Charters of Raystown lake.
