It was a joy to spend another day on the river with Jo Yoder and her daughter Sika Lonner...this marks our 8th year of floats! The sharing of the Merlin bird app made our day amazing. We actually got to watch two Merlins interact. Let's do it again next year ladies!!

this day was perfect for a float with my old friends Cheri Davis and Joe Sharpe. They both wanted to try rowing. Laughter with tears was the main result! Another highlight of our day was when I pointed to a beautiful mayfly lifting off the surface of the river, right next to us. Before any of us could comment a big 'ol dragonfly snatched it up! Such is life...timing is everything. Mother Nature rules!

ACME RIVER RIDES made their maiden voyage on Tuesday, May 24th. Thanks to our old friends Gini McCain and Sue Weitz for being the first to float with us! Larry and Gillian did our shuttle and met us along the way. We had perfect weather, we were the only humans on the river and even got a whistle blast from a train...simply awesome!

Here we go again! In 2004 we started a fly shop/guide service, a venture that had never before attempted in Hayward, WI. After 18 successful years, we sold the shop in April of 2021. We spent last season fishing and floating for ourselves and with family and friends. We realized that we were not done sharing the rivers and Acme River Rides was born. With our new venture we are able to provide the perfect vehicle for anyone who wants to experience the beauty and serenity of our rivers. You can sit back and relax, we do the rowing.
