We’re pretty proud of this one.

We are so excited to officially be part of the Hayward Lakes VCB the past few months and even more proud to be part of a community we love so much.

Hayward has always held a special place in our hearts, and getting to share Whiplash Retreat with the people who come here to experience everything this area has to offer means so much to us.

A huge thank you to the Hayward Lakes team for putting together this fun spotlight and for welcoming Whiplash into the community. We couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead!

The part of Whiplash you don’t always see. 🪵

Every cabin has its own fire pit, and the firewood is on us.

Which means behind those summer nights around the fire, there’s usually someone back here splitting, stacking and making sure the next pile is ready to go.

9 summers at Whiplash.

Amy and her family just wrapped up their 9th summer with us, and seeing photos like this from their week is pretty special.

After their 8th summer, Amy left us a review that said:

“It is truly our family’s most treasured annual vacation.”

A year later, they were back again.

That’s one of the things we love most about Whiplash. Families come for a Northwoods vacation, but somewhere along the way, it becomes their place. A place where kids and grandkids come together, traditions continue, and another summer of memories gets added to all the ones before it.

We feel pretty lucky to be a small part of that.

And perhaps the best part? Summer #10 is already booked for 2027. 🌲

We can’t wait to welcome the whole family back.
