Denali Backcountry Guides offers guided Heli-Hiking, walking & hiking tours in the spectacular area surrounding Denali National Park. Our 4-hour heli-hiking tours will take you into the the Alaskan tundra; one of the most breathtaking landforms on the planet – like nothing you’ve ever experienced before. Very few have gotten the chance to explore this wild and completely pristine biome. Once there, you’ll take a guided hike around this truly unique and spectacular environment. Jeff, the naturalist guide who has been hiking in the tundra for twenty+ years, will point out the flora and fauna on the way. There’s no telling what kinds of animals you might see, but you are guaranteed to experience nature in a way that you won’t soon forget. Looking for something different? Our 3-hour walking tours will give you the chance to learn about the distinctive Alaskan environment while enjoying it firsthand. Take an interpretive, guided walk in the park with a naturalist guide who will point out the landmarks and talk about the amazing geologic history of this part of the world. The ecozones from the Nenana River to the subarctic alpine tundra are home to hundreds of species of unique plants and animals, especially migratory birds, which you can actually view up close while you learn. You’ll come away from this walk with a feel for what makes this area so exceptional as well a greater understanding of the Alaskan wild.
