I found a hidden little North Georgia spot today that I had never explored before.
I found the sweetest little off-the-beaten-path spot today while kayaking on Seed Lake.
I noticed a small beach area from the water and decided to paddle over to check it out. I thought it would just be a simple place to pull over for a minute, but it ended up being such a cool little recreation area.
Seed Lake Recreation Area has a sandy beach area where kids could play in the water, picnic tables, park grills, fire rings, and shaded places to sit. But my favorite part was the little stream tucked back in the trees.
Thereโs a small bridge, a mini-waterfall, shallow spots along the creek, and ducks were hanging out in the water when I was there. It felt peaceful, simple, and a little unexpected โ the kind of North Georgia spot you donโt always hear people talk about.
Itโs not fancy, and thatโs what I liked about it. Just a good place for a picnic, a slow afternoon by the water, or a little exploring with the kids.
Have you ever been to Seed Lake Recreation Area, or is this one new to you too?
