I just want to take a moment and address concerns of the North Hills Fire that is in the Helena area. At this time, we are not concerned about the house in relation to this fire. The fire is in the Hauser dam/reservoir and Lake Helena area, whereas our house is in the Canyon Ferry dam/reservoir area further upstream on the Missouri. My guesstimate looking at maps is that the fire is 10-15 miles from our house by way of the bird currently and would have to cross the river. At this point, I feel it is quite unlikely that it will cause problems at our house (other than smoke if the wind is blowing the right way).

The new pronunciation of the name made me about spit out my coffee! No pictures, but we enjoyed hosting 14 people at the house for Thanksgiving last weekend. I'm thankful to have a space for that many people to spread out and be comfortable, as well as a kitchen that is up for the task! Lots of great memories made when our spread-out family comes together!
