Who remembers Grady’s tackle shop in Jasper? He always had the best and latest bass fishing gear in stock. When Grady passed away the store was locked with all those fishing treasures locked inside. Until now. The doors will open for a 3 day blow out sale march 12 13 and 14. Thurs Fri Sat.

Water level at Rayburn is dropping fast but the bite is still strong. I caught 15 nice keepers this morning by 10am just running around checking spots. Caught them on topwaters, small swim baits c-rigs and senkos. I have several monday thru thursday openings for 1/2 day morning trips. Pm or just call and we’ll talk fishing. 936-635-2427

Sam Rayburn yesterday. I didn’t have a guide party booked. So I fished by myself.It’s what I do; fish 3 or 4 daysa week w/ or without clients. Yea tough duty I know.I dont catch a giant bass every day but I do catch a lot like the ones in these pics. This young man from N. Dakota fished with me 4 days last week on Sam Rayburn. We fished first light to 11:00 am ea day and averaged 30 fish each morning from 2 to 4 lbs. All were caught shallow but at least half were caught shallow OFFSHORE. The early summer bite is on. Come fish with me.

My spring bass fishing/guidingfor 2025 started at Sam Rayburn in Feb and now its mid May. And its been one of my best seasons in years. Seems like along with good numbers we’ve caught more bigs this year than in the past. The fish are still biting and i have plenty of open dates mid week. I’m pretty old fashioned. Fishing has been on fire the last few days at Rayburn. 9 between 3 and 4 lbs yesterday at Rayburn on frogs and a bonus heavy 6+ here at home in Debbe’s M&D lake.
