We are the TOUR DIRECTORS digging the hole at HOT WATER BEACH. It was challenging weather in Summer here in New Zealand.

How it works?
1. You wait for the tide to go out (look on google and it will give you the time for HOT WATER BEACH NEW ZEALAND)

2. Bring a shovel and begin to dig where your feet 👣 are warm on the sand.

3. This is a GEOTHERMAL area and lots of AMAZING MINERALS come up out of the 🌎 Earth. It’s AWESOME for your skin!

4. Jump in your hole and soak up the hot water and minerals. You better hope a BIG COLD WAVE 🌊 doesn’t come in and wipe you and your hole out (like it did to us). lol

5. ENJOY…this rare amazing opportunity and memory. 💙💙💙

The hot water at Hot Water Beach in New Zealand is heated by volcanic intrusion and magma.
How the hot water is created
Water seeps through fissures in the base rock
The water leaches down to hot molten magma thousands of meters below the earth's surface
The hot water is sent back to the surface through hot springs on the beach
