Today we had the pleasure of hosting the Marshfield party aboard the Hit and Run. We hid from the wind as long as we could while captain Trevor Baldwin was lights out on the wheel. We lost count the number of punishing northern pike strikes we witnessed. Some came off, some never materialized, some were thrown back to fight another day. We did keep a couple nice ones for the table. All in all, just a great morning before Alyse(sp?) and Tristan hopped a flight for Alabama. Thanks for fishing with us today.

Spending a few hours today doing preseason charter captain things. I started out with some maintenance in the engine bay, then took a drive around the Henderson Harbor. We are getting close to splash down. Rightfully so, the marina won’t drop the boats until we are sure the ice won’t be a safety concern.

Safe to say that’s a wrap on the 2025 season. She’s up in her top bunk for a long winters rest. Thank you to all of our customers, Harbor’s End Marina in Hnderson Harbor, NY, our family, our network of fisherman and captains we work with all season long. We couldn’t do it without any of you.

We have had requests and are booking days for next season. If you want in, especially July, get with us soon. Good chance we will fill the calendar again.

Jon, Robin and Alex came aboard today for their yearly excursion with us. We had lots of bites, lots of laughs, a few we tossed back and a few that got away. We only lost one rod/reel combo, two identical salmon trolling spoons and broke one rod holder in the meantime…mostly while landing the same fish. These things happen and we loved having these long time customers out with us today. Thank you again.

No fishing today, but yesterday we helped out a fellow captain in our marina by loaning out our boat and services for their clients. We hosted Ben Roggie of River Valley Charters, their clients Justin Patterson, Dale Nichols and their boys. We had a great day on the water with a four person limit of lake trout and a dandy chinook salmon to close it out. Lots of laughs, the boys had a ton of fun, cranked in some big fish and put some fish stories in the memory banks to take home to their buddies. Glad to help out.

Another busy day on the lake. Today, we hosted high school friend Bub Lefevre along with his friends and coworkers. The salmon bite was hot and then it wasn’t. We had a few strikes in the waning moments of the trip to finish strong. These gentleman are returning customers, and it was great to have them back on the boat to do some catching up. Thanks guys. Hope to see you again.

New friends Mike Varney and his sons Tyler and Andy came to fish with us today. We had a delayed start due to viscious winds overnight and in the early morning. Waiting paid off in spades for the boys from Canton, NY. We had constant action bell to bell and came home with various classes of Chinook salmon. Thank you Penni and family for fishing with us.
